Welcome to Football Manager Projects!
This blog will be a collection of my various Football Manager projects. I intend to try a variety of different and creative Football Manager saves over the coming years, and will record my experiences in this blog.
My plan is to post every day. Should you choose to subscribe, please keep in mind that you will likely receive one email every day from this blog. I will not post more than once a day, and will never insert pointless spam or unrelated content into my posts.
There are a few things you probably should understand about this blog:
This is a blog, not a “newsletter.” In other words, you’re not going to see a lot of affiliate links, begging for paid subscriptions and other shenanigans in this publication. My goal is to focus on Football Manager.
My blog entries will be short. The trend these days is to write long, complicated, and heavily researched newsletter posts. I am not a fan of endless blog entries, and will do my best to respect your time.
I’m not going to rush through the saves. Those of us in the community know and love Lollujo’s work on YouTube. However, I simply can’t devote 8 hours of my day to playing this game. Instead of trying to push on through to the end, I intend to use this blog to slow myself down, to help prevent burnout, and to talk about certain tips and tricks that might be helpful to other Football Manager fans.
All blog posts will be free, period. However, you must be a paying subscriber to comment. I do this chiefly to crack down on inappropriate comments, in the hopes of spending less time moderating and more time writing. Of course, even if you don’t want to comment, I absolutely would appreciate your generosity should you want to support this project.
About Me
Hi there – I’m Daniel Evensen. I’ve been playing Football Manager off and on ever since I first bought FM06 in a sketchy supermarket in southern China. As the years drifted on, the game has become an increasingly important part of my life, advancing from a curiosity to something that has real meaning for me. I started this blog to help share those feelings with others.
Football (or soccer) is not really my specialty. My background is largely in the tabletop and computer baseball simulation world. Having said that, there is something very special about Football Manager that makes it far more compelling and interesting than any of the American sport simulations I grew up with. We’re going to get into more of the details as time goes on.
I’m far from an expert on football. I’m not a deep tactician or a master of the game. However, I do like tinkering around, and I’ve learned a thing or two in my years of Football Manager.
Stick around – this should be a lot of fun!
