We Can't Win Again
Everything was going so well just two days ago. And now we’re back to our losing ways.
We’re up to December 15, 2027, and things are going pretty poorly:
It’s been pretty rough, to say the least. We’ve lost close games and not-so-close games. And, no matter what I do, it seems that we’re destined to lose.
The problem is pretty clearly our defense. We’ve managed to concede 61 goals in only 23 games, with no real sign of stopping.
The defensive problem comes largely because we lost our best defender, Song Ju-Song. He was another one of those 5 star players who just didn’t want to sign another contract with us:
As you can see, nobody decided to pick up Song Ju-Song after he refused to sign another contract. He’s likely going to be another one of those players who retire after remaining a free agent for a season or two.
The truth, of course, is that Song Ju-Song wasn’t exactly a superstar with us anyway:
But, for whatever reason, Football Manager has decided that we are supposed to lose, and so we’re losing.
Hopefully we can pick it back up, though I’m not sure.
