The Most Annoying Aspect Of Football Manager

A few weeks ago, this Reddit thread caught my eye. One look at the screenshot is all you need:

The player was managing Inter.

Why in the world the press would ask the Inter manager about a guy transfer listed by a random Serie B team is completely beyond me.

Now, I suppose that the game might be trying to give the human manager a hint. Maybe this is a subtle way of alerting the human manager to the fact that this player is available and probably should be scouted.

Seriously, though, I don’t know of anybody who plays Football Manager like that. Most of us just skip through these interviews of have the assistant manager take care of them for us.

As nice as a facelift to the match engine will be, stuff like this really needs to be fixed in FM25. And, sadly, it likely won’t even be touched. It’s been an immersion breaking problem for years now.
