The Armageddon Final

While browsing through old newspapers, I came across some interesting contemporary reporting on the 1915 FA Cup Final. This comes from Sports Argus in Birmingham, April 24, 1915.

The presence of the large military contingent gave this final the nickname “Kahki Cup Final.” It should also be noted that they played the final at Old Trafford instead of Crystal Palace to try to reduce traffic in the London area.

This was the last FA Cup final until 1920.
