RSL in the WSL Part 12
With this project, I’m trying out a new approach to hiring staff in-game.
As I explained earlier, I’ve put a huge amount of emphasis on player personalities during this play-through. I’ve also put a large amount of emphasis on staff personalities, to the point where I have hired staff members primarily due to their personality, and not due to their abilities or ratings.
For example, this is what our coaching staff looks like:
Now, I can’t change my own in-game personality, unfortunately. However, I absolutely can surround myself with the most professional staff members that I can find.
It’s well known that hiring a Model Citizen Head of Youth Development should increase the chances of newly generated players having that coveted Model Citizen personality. What I’m curious to see is whether the other staff members will make a difference or not.
Of course, I didn’t stop with the coaching staff.
I doubt it really matters what personality the medical staff have. In fact, I’ve not seen any evidence that even the medical staff ratings make a large difference in Football Manager saves. It’s worth a shot, though.
The same is true of the scouting team. It probably doesn’t matter that much what the professionalism rating of my scouts are. However, the thought of running a team that is entirely professional is kind of attractive, which is why I set it up this way.
