Here’s another old Championship Manager review from PCZone magazine — this time from October 1993:
There are a few things mentioned here that, in my opinion, set Football Manager apart from the other sports management games. These include:
The ease with which you can move from one screen to another.
The fact that players will take a few days to consider your offer before signing.
The tactical system that allowed just about anything to happen — in theory, at least.
The game in general might seem primitive by modern standards, but the sandbox aspect of Championship Manager was pretty innovative for its time.
