I told you we were wise to get rid of our best striker.
Rimyongsu turned things around at the end of the 2026-27 season in a way that has me really excited for this project:
That’s right — we managed 4 wins and 3 draws in our final 7 league matches.
And, as you’ve probably guessed, part of this overlapped with our youth intake. We wound up with a newgen who is instantly one of the best players on the team:
Son Kwang-Hyok isn’t as fast as I’d like — but, with our extremely effective “meditation” training strategy, he’s sure to put on a lot of Acceleration and Pace in no time.
He also scored goals for fun at the end of last season:
This goes to show you again: don’t ever be scared of getting rid of one of your better players. Sometimes you need to get rid of a “great” player who isn’t really all that good to make room for a world beater.
