My Transfer Season Approach
I know what the big Football Manager creators tend to do with transfers.
You’ll see their videos on YouTube from time to time. It will be some sort of “transfer special,” a video that is anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes long. It stands out amid the sea of 10 minute game action videos.
I don’t like doing things that way.
I don’t know about you, but I find transfer specials boring, for the most part. I get excited about a potential new signing, only to see it not pan out. After 30 minutes, I discover that I’ve learned very little, and that I didn’t get to see any game footage, either.
That’s why I go for a different approach.
I do like updating my audience on transfers. I try to keep it confined, however, to short videos filmed right after the transfer season is complete.
I also do my best to make sure that the one game per day system stays intact.
It means spending more time playing through the boring bits than I would normally like. However, I do think it’s worth it.
After all, the name of the game is Football Manager — not Spreadsheet Manager.
What do you think?
