Mixing An Editor Data Brew
I’m starting a new save.
I’ve decided to abandon the other ones, in part because of how long processing took in the Hexagon Challenge, and in part due to boredom.
I want to play more with Darthfurion’s World Super League.
The question, though, is what other data files I should combine this with.
What Darthfurion Offers
Before we figure out what we can mix in our brew, we need to know what we’ve got.
In addition to the remade world, World Super League includes a number of editor data files. We’re going to use all of them.
These include:
An addon to make AI managers willing to work in lower leagues (for teams who are relegated)
A boost to AI managers
A reputation boost to all clubs
A boost to training at all clubs
Boosts to youth coaching, youth facilities, and youth recruitment at all clubs
Boosts to current ability and potential ability to all players and staff
A scouting boost for top clubs
A rebalancing of national game importance for all countries
A rebalance to the national reputation for all clubs
A rebalance to the national youth ratings for all clubs
Rebalanced transfer values
That’s quite a bit. The idea behind all of these, of course, is to provide a more even playing field for clubs from all over the world. These add-ons also help us generate more interesting and competitive new players, which makes things a lot more fun.
What Else To Add
So what else can we add to this mix?
Some things are obvious. Sortitoutsi’s real name fix, for example, can be easily added to this mix without any problems.
Robbles Quin also created Japanese player and staff files for FM23 on the official SI forums: you can find it here. I’m going to use an updated version that comes from his Discord channel.
Many of you know that I love the work of Daveincid — especially his Increase Realism Megapack. However, some of his addons conflict with what DarthFurion has already created. I recommend going for these:
Club data fix, mostly to add in rivalry information and other odds and ends
Club morale adjustments
Geographics and languages
National team attendances (though this really isn’t that important)
National team reputation fix, mostly to get more young players on the national teams
Realistic injuries
Taxes fix to keep those German clubs in line
Ticket price adjustments
Weather changes
Worldwide award fixes
Worldwide derby fix
With all of these together, we should have a World Super League that is both fun and fair!
