How To Make The Perfect Boss
It’s actually pretty easy to change owner settings in Football Manager’s pregame editor. Here are a few tips that I’ve gathered from various places:
There doesn’t seem to be any difference between chairperson, president, general manager, and founder.
The “ownership type” setting also doesn’t seem to make much of a difference.
The stuff you care most about is probably the hidden owner attributes. Here’s how to interpret them:
Business: This is how insistent the person is on making a profit. Low means they don’t care if you lose money; high means they’ll care about money more than anything else. I recommend going low.
Patience: Naturally, you want this to be high. High patience means the owner is less likely to fire you if you keep losing.
Resources: You want this to be high. This is how likely the owner is to contribute resources to your club.
Interference: This is the likelihood that the owner will sell players from under you. You want this to be low.
You might also be interested in giving your club extra finances. Keep the following in mind:
You will need to increase your club’s reputation first — the editor will tell you if the money you’re giving your club doesn’t make sense given its reputation.
You may want to consider turning your owner into a rich benefactor (formerly known as a sugar daddy).
Watch out for the stack overflow, which is apparently around the 4.3 billion mark. I’m not sure what happens with foreign currencies.
