How To Cheat The San Marino Challenge
The San Marino Challenge is one of those impossible Football Manager challenges.
The official name of the club is actually Victor San Marino, and are found somewhere deep down in the Italian system. And, as you’d expect, most San Marinian players just so happen to play for Victor San Marino.
And that’s where the trick comes into play. As reported in this Reddit post, Italian players who stay at a San Marino club for long enough are eligible for citizenship. The catch, though, is that you can’t loan them out; they have to stay at the club.
So, if you wind up with young Italian players at the club, you need to hold them in and prevent them from leaving until the option to become citizens is unlocked. San Marinian players, in contrast, can move freely on loan to other clubs.
You could theoretically use similar systems to cheat the Youth Academy Challenge if you manage a team from a country with poor youth development ratings. For example, one goal I have in my Rimyongsu save is to eventually get the best possible South Korean Head of Youth Development I can in hopes of attracting South Korean talent through the Youth Intake process. Once your club is big enough, you can do similar things through affiliate club relationships, targeting certain countries in hopes of getting youngsters with better potential to come up “naturally” through your ranks.
