Holidaying In Football Manager

As you might have noticed, there’s been an increase in recent months of YouTube Football Manager content creators who have somehow managed to play through dozens of seasons over the course of a few days.

There’s no secret to the fact that most of these creators are simply holidaying through entire seasons.

I’ve tried to do this before. I can see why it’s a popular decision. It’s not hard to find highlights at the end of every season, get a few very quick video clips, and then use those to create your video product.

However — I’m not convinced that you’re actually playing your save if you keep your hands off the wheel like this.

I have learned over time that holidaying through the boring bits makes the game a lot more playable. I don’t play every game out by myself anymore, and allow the in-game AI to handle some of the more mundane tasks.

However, if there’s a key game or a big moment, I really want to be there to witness it. I feel like it gives me a stronger connection to the save in general.
