Football Manager In Taiwan
To say that football in Taiwan is underdeveloped would be an understatement.
Taiwanese teams are all semi-pro. Matches attract very small crowds, if they attract anybody at all. Taiwan’s national team has never really been competitive, and likely will not be competitive in the future.
The sport has existed professionally in Taiwan since 1983. However, the vast majority of Taiwanese have never heard of it.
It’s a major challenge for anybody who wants to give it a try.
Traditionally, Taiwan Power has been the most successful team, though they have not won the title in the current Taiwan Football Premier League. Taiwan Steel are the current title holders, and Leopard Cat, once called Tatung after the company that owns the team, are the other perennial power.
If you’re crazy like me and want to give it a shot, you’ll need to download this pack from FM Scout. The teams and league setup are quite realistic. Be warned, however, that it can be a slog to play against the same 7 teams over and over again as you make gradual progress.
If you want to have fun with it, I’d recommend hopping into the pregame editor and giving the league some money and reputation.
