Football Manager Friendlies for Fun and Profit
Make the most (money) out of your friendly matches!
Football Manager Friendlies for Fun and Profit
Regardless of the sport, exhibition and pre-season matches in real life are usually there for player conditioning.
However, the rules are a bit different in Football Manager.
Friendlies help you in the following ways:
They help your players learn your tactic quickly.
They can help with morale — especially if your players are upset about some stupid thing.
You can make a lot of money off them.
A few tips for those who would like to profit off of friendlies:
Let your assistant manager (assman) manage them. Don’t waste your time.
Schedule them all at home. This gives you the biggest possible piece of the monetary pie.
Stay away from foreign tours, if you can.
Try to schedule 2 matches or more per week.
Give your players a week of rest before the season begins.
Look closely before you schedule. Make sure you’ll make a profit off the match.
Remember to schedule friendlies for your B team, under 21 team, under 18 team, or whatever else you have.
You can still schedule friendlies even if there are no players on the roster — and you will still make money.
Try scheduling a league or a cup and then bringing in 30 trialists to play the matches for you for free. You’ll lose, but you’ll also profit.
