Finishing Up Our Tactic
I’ll cut to the chase. This is what our tactic looks like:
I mentioned before my dilemma about whether I should have 3 or 4 at the back. We decided to settle on 3 at the back, and are going to give the libero role a try.
I went with two strikers up front, chiefly because Kashiwa has a whole ton of strikers at the start of the game. It feels like a 12 year old put the team together, actually. There are a lot of excellent strikers, but no real wingers. I suppose some of the strikers could play on the wing, but they’d rather be up front.
We’ve got a few good attacking midfielders, which is why we have one of those. I decided to use an advanced playmaker, though we’ll revisit that role if we have to.
The difficult part was midfield. I spent some time looking at a variety of options. I’ve fallen in love with the dual Segundo Volante approach, however, and decided to stick with that.
We’ll see how this goes. I worry that we don’t have enough players on a defensive mindset. This should be interesting…
