Contradictory Football Manager 2025 Rumors

As of the drafting of this blog post, there are a number of rumors about Football Manager 2025 that flatly contradict each other.

In other words — it’s impossible to say whether it’s going to be a great game or not.

This has been making the rounds on social media:

The report is that this is a translation from Slovenian to English of an official Sports Interactive announcement. Most people who observe this are fascinated with the report of “volumetric player animations,” which I commented on in an earlier post, as well as the supposed improvements to the AI system.

In direct contrast is this Reddit post:

The takeaway here is that the Unity engine won’t result in anything easily perceptible by most players. In other words — it’s an improvement that will help developers in the long run, but FM25 shouldn’t be much different from FM24.
